What You’ll Do
As a Materials Manager, you will oversee all aspects of material flow, ensuring seamless integration between production, inventory, and supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Scheduling, Planning, and Customer Delivery
- Develop and oversee master production schedules to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Manage raw material availability and expedite production needs to meet customer demands.
- Collaborate across teams to optimize capacity planning, material procurement, and cost reduction efforts.
Inventory Management
- Lead inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and forecasting.
- Manage disposition of excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Coordinate movement and scheduling for outside processing inventory locations.
Warehouse and Logistics
- Oversee inbound and outbound transportation in alignment with financial policies and logistics guidelines.
- Ensure warehouse operations are equipped with resources for efficient and safe execution.
- Partner with supplier quality teams to maintain vendor compliance and improve logistics processes.
Supplier Scheduling and Performance
- Manage supplier schedules to optimize production and logistics efficiencies.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance, resolve escalations, and maintain smooth material flow to production.
- Negotiate and manage consignment and blanket purchase agreements for critical commodities.
Leadership and Continuous Improvement
- Champion the ADMS Material Control Pillar, driving lean transformation and operational maturity.
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team, building a strong talent pipeline.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments with materials management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Preferred: APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) and experience in inventory forecasting and production scheduling.
